Senior Construction Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Foreman to join our Infrastructure team. As a key member of our site-based construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in creating a safe working environment and lead by example in maintaining a positive safety culture.
- Day-to-day management of site-based construction works, including coordination of resources and ensuring compliance with design specifications.
- Effective coordination of resources, including temporary and permanent works, to meet programme and financial targets.
- Assist in planning and programming with site engineering teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Participate in site discipline meetings to aid effective coordination and delivery of the works.
- Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and Permit to Work systems are in place before work commences.
- Assist in the preparation of RAMS, COSHH assessments, and safety plans as required.
- Effective liaison and communication with site teams and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Undertake site inductions with all subcontractors and deliver toolbox talks and minute briefings.
- Ensure subcontractors deliver work to meet safety, quality, and programme requirements.
- Supervise subcontractors to ensure quality and 'right first-time approach'.
- Record and update site diaries to track project progress.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced General Foreman with a strong background in civil engineering projects, preferably with experience in highways construction. You will have a solid understanding of structures expertise or earthworks and be able to motivate and lead subcontractors on site to strive for exceptional levels of performance.
