Support Assistant for SEMH Students

Position Overview: We are collaborating with a dedicated educational institution seeking to recruit a compassionate and skilled Support Assistant to enhance their team. This role is focused on supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with students aged 7 to 16, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs.
- Foster a nurturing environment that promotes positive relationships and emotional well-being.
- Utilize a flexible and resilient approach to adapt to the varying needs of students.
- Encourage outdoor activities and participation in experiential learning opportunities.
Ideal Candidate: The successful candidate will possess a genuine passion for working with children facing SEMH difficulties. While prior experience in an educational setting is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement. A foundational understanding of SEMH needs will greatly assist in building rapport with students.
Working Hours:
- Monday – Wednesday: 8:15 AM – 3:20 PM
- Thursday: 8:15 AM – 3:20 PM and until 4:20 PM on alternating Thursdays
- Friday: 8:15 AM – 2:05 PM
Transportation Requirements: Due to the location of the institution, candidates must have access to personal transportation.
