Job Title: Teaching Assistant Level 3 SEN

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Teaching Assistant to join our team at Smithills School. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to develop best practices for SEN children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with and supervise individuals and groups of children under the direction/instruction of teaching &/or senior staff, inclusive of specific individual learning needs.
  • Assess the needs of pupils through individually tailored key performance indicators.
  • Ensure practices are in place so pupils with SEND in mainstream classes make progress.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • The ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities.
  • The ability to build effective working relationships with all pupils and colleagues.
  • An informed and efficient approach to teaching and learning.
