SEN Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our specialist SEN school in Bolton. As a Level 3 HLTA, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the learning and development of our students with a range of SEN needs.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Deliver targeted interventions to meet the individual needs of students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and sensory impairments.
  • Promote positive behaviour and implement strategies to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Take on teaching responsibilities in the absence of the class teacher and lead lessons to ensure students continue to make progress with their academic work.
  • Monitor student progress, share feedback with teachers, parents, and carers, and contribute to the development of individual education plans.
About You:
  • SEN Experience: You have experience working with children or young people, particularly in a secondary school setting. Experience with conditions such as autism, ADHD, and communication needs is highly desirable.
  • Key Attributes: You are patient, empathetic, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with additional needs. You are adaptable, creative, and committed to inclusive education practices.
