SEN Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Level 3 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our expert team and play a pivotal role in supporting the learning and development of our students with a range of SEN needs.

Your Role as a HLTA in Our SEN School:
  • Deliver targeted interventions tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, sensory impairments, and other complex needs.
  • Promote and implement strategies that foster positive behaviour, ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all.
  • Take on teaching responsibilities in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students continue to make progress with their academic work.
  • Monitor student progress, sharing regular feedback with teachers, parents, and carers to ensure students are fully supported in their learning journey.
About You:
  • You have experience working with children or young people, particularly in a secondary school setting. Experience with conditions such as autism, ADHD, and communication needs is highly desirable.
  • You are patient, empathetic, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with additional needs. You are adaptable, creative, and committed to inclusive education practices.
  • You have a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children, as well as the ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff.
