SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our specialist SEN school in Bolton. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the learning and development of our students with a range of SEN needs.

Your Role as a Teaching Assistant:

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering targeted interventions, promoting positive behaviour, and taking on teaching responsibilities in the absence of the class teacher. You will work closely with our expert team to ensure students receive the care, attention, and personalised support they need to succeed.

  • Delivering Interventions: You will deliver one-on-one and small group interventions tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, sensory impairments, and other complex needs.
  • Positive Behaviour Support: You will promote and implement strategies that foster positive behaviour, ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all.
  • Teaching Responsibilities: You will lead lessons and support classroom activities when the teacher is absent, ensuring students continue to make progress with their academic work.
  • Progress Monitoring: You will observe, assess, and track student progress, sharing regular feedback with teachers, parents, and carers to ensure students are fully supported in their learning journey.
About You:
  • SEN Experience: You have experience working with children or young people, particularly in a secondary school setting. Experience with conditions such as autism, ADHD, and communication needs is highly desirable.
