About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide targeted behavioural support to students with special needs. As a Behavioural Support Specialist, you will work closely with teachers, the SENCo, and parents to create a consistent support network and help students succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work one-on-one with students displaying challenging behaviours to develop and implement behaviour management plans.
  • Provide support during class, breaks, and extracurricular activities to ensure students' safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour to inform teaching strategies and support plans.
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges and a strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and other support staff.
  • Relevant qualifications in behavioural support or experience in a similar role.
  • Patience, resilience, and a commitment to helping students overcome challenges.
