About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Faculty Estates Operations Officer to join our dynamic team at The University of Manchester. As a key member of the Faculty Estates Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our campus facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice to clients on property and building project requirements, assessing feasibility and cost.
  • Manage specific Faculty or Estates budgets, ensuring best value is achieved within the University's financial regulations.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and clients.
  • Oversee the commissioning and management of surveys, producing schedules of maintenance work.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate construction or facilities management related degree, professional qualification, or significant equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects and services to time, quality, and budget.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship building skills, with the ability to influence others.
  • High levels of IT literacy, including contemporary office applications.
