We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Faculty Estates Operations Officer to join our team at The University of Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising clients on their property and building project requirements, assessing feasibility and cost, and ensuring that projects match client aspirations from inception to completion.
This is a key role within the Faculty Estates team, acting as the interface between academic Faculties and Professional Services teams who occupy the buildings and the Estates and Facilities Directorate who manage and maintain them.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of budgetary responsibilities, a proven track record of delivering projects and services to time, quality, and budget, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities- Advise clients on property and building project requirements
- Assess feasibility and cost of projects
- Ensure projects match client aspirations from inception to completion
- Manage specific Faculty or Estates budgets
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Appropriate construction or facilities management related degree or professional qualification
- Proven track record of providing advice in construction, maintenance, space management, and FM provision
- High levels of IT literacy
- Experience of producing professional written reports and correspondence
- Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
- Annual pay review and incremental salary increases within grade
- Exceptional performance award scheme
