TAIT - Automation Systems Integrator Job Description

The Automation Systems Integrator is tasked with unifying various components of projects to create a seamless operational framework. This role requires the orchestration of project tasks, execution of testing protocols, and assurance of effective integration. The Integrator is vital in delivering projects of exceptional quality and ensuring client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test, configure, and prepare equipment for deployment on-site
  • Support the commissioning of control systems
  • Lead maintenance efforts for controls and electrical systems as needed
  • Conduct site inspections, identify challenges, and implement cost-effective solutions
  • Safely install lifting mechanisms
  • Generate technical documentation and reports
  • Travel to client locations, potentially on an international scale, to assist with projects
  • Participate in the specification and planning of tasks, including electrical design
  • Engage in knowledge sharing and contribute to the development of educational materials
  • Facilitate project integration and maintain effective communication with the team
  • Collaborate closely with field engineering and installation teams to apply technology on-site
  • Advocate for internal standards and processes while contributing to the global integration team
  • Build strong relationships with clients, stagehands, and project managers

Essential Knowledge

  • Experience with automation machinery in the entertainment sector
  • Familiarity with entertainment and industrial automation technologies
  • Understanding of PLC programming and control principles
  • Experience in rigging and mechanical systems within the entertainment industry
  • A formal technical background complemented by experience in theater or entertainment
