Position Overview
The role of the Controls Integrator is pivotal in merging various components of a project into a unified system. This position is integral throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring effective coordination and execution of factory and site acceptance testing. As the concluding phase of the project, integration is crucial for delivering high-quality results prior to client handover. The integrator operates at the intersection of technology and artistry, contributing to the creation of world-class shows and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, test, and configure equipment for site deployment.
- Assist in the commissioning of control systems.
- Occasionally lead maintenance and site operations related to controls and electrical systems.
- Conduct inspections at client locations, diagnose control and electrical issues, propose solutions, and implement resolutions within budgetary constraints.
- Safely install lifting systems.
- Compile technical and inspection documentation.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all reports, documentation, and tickets.
- Be prepared to travel on short notice to support clients and projects, potentially on an international scale.
- Assist in the specification and planning of projects, including basic electrical design.
- Oversee control system commissioning.
- Support the diagnosis and resolution of issues, providing updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to knowledge management by creating and sharing learning materials within the team and across departments.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure seamless project handover to integration.
- Coordinate the integration of diverse elements into a cohesive project.
- Maintain regular communication with the project team regarding tasks and potential risks.
- Participate in field engineering and installation efforts, implementing technology on-site for clients.
- Fulfill responsibilities related to shop testing and setup, particularly for complex components.
- Develop a foundational understanding of all technical fields related to integration.
- Achieve expert knowledge in one or more integration-related technical areas.
- Promote and adhere to internal standards and processes.
- Actively engage in the global integration team, collaborating with other departments to ensure operational efficiency and contribute to business development.
- Continuously seek to enhance operations, streamline processes, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, stagehands, electricians, project managers, and other personnel.
