Job Summary

In the role of Head of Statutory Financial Oversight, you will take charge of managing all facets of the international statutory accounting and auditing processes within NetApp. Your key responsibility will be to ensure adherence to legal obligations and financial regulations by leading a team of statutory accounting experts.

Key Responsibilities

As the Head of Statutory Financial Oversight, you will:

  1. Collaborate with external auditors and Corporate Legal to formulate and execute audit strategies in line with statutory mandates and corporate policies, ensuring timely completion of audit documentation and filings while maintaining transparency with all key stakeholders and senior leadership.
  2. Supervise the preparation and evaluation of financial statements, reports, and audit schedules produced by your team to guarantee precision and compliance with regulatory standards.
  3. Establish accounting positions and other financial requirements in relation to the adoption of new standards, as well as any significant modifications to legal and tax frameworks or mergers and acquisitions.
  4. Address audit findings and effectively implement recommendations.
  5. Manage relationships with external parties, including auditors, regulators, and other relevant entities, to respond to inquiries and ensure compliance with requirements.
  6. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of applicable accounting standards, regulatory obligations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and promote process enhancements.
  7. Provide guidance and training to team members on pertinent accounting and auditing topics, procedures, and best practices.
  8. Support special projects and initiatives as directed by senior management.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, with a concentration on statutory accounting and regulatory compliance within a multinational organization.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or CIA certification is preferred, along with knowledge of accounting principles and standards, including IFRS or US GAAP, and experience applying them to complex transactions.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $120k-$203k (+bonus) and will be determined by the candidate's qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and aligned with industry standards, reflecting various factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may encompass Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSUs), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
