About the Role

Hays Travel is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Foreign Exchange Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our foreign exchange bureau, you will be responsible for ensuring the profitability of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the profitability of our foreign exchange bureau through effective sales and customer service strategies.
  • Meet and exceed foreign exchange targets, including set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Convert Hays Travel customers to purchase foreign exchange services.
  • Maximize individual and team sales of foreign exchange.
  • Provide exceptional customer service at all times, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with the day-to-day operation of the bureau, including managing stock levels and cash reconciliation.
  • Increase exposure of the bureau and develop new business leads through effective marketing and sales strategies.
  • Use social media to promote offers, generate customer engagement, and sales leads.
  • Monitor local competition and manage rates and margins effectively on a daily basis.
  • Monitor stock levels of foreign currency and ensure that minimum quantities are maintained.
  • Accurate cash reconciliation and banking.
  • Responsible for minimizing risk and mitigating errors.
  • Play an active role in the day-to-day operation of the branch and supporting Travel colleagues with administrative duties.
  • Responsibility for security of the bureau.
  • Willingness to participate in training appropriate to own development.
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • To undertake any other duties that may fall into the job criteria.
  • To conform with all company policies and procedures, including health and safety.
  • To treat all employees, customers, and suppliers with dignity and respect.
