CAMHS Trauma Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Trauma Therapist to join our dynamic Community CAMHS South Team as a Trauma Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children, young people, and their families/carers, providing high-quality trauma assessments and interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively as part of the Community CAMHS South Team, providing specialist trauma assessment, formulation, and interventions with young people and families.
- Act as a lead professional/care-coordinator for service users, co-facilitating group work, and liaising with systems connected to the young person and the multidisciplinary team within the Community CAMHS.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with young people, families, and carers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and service quality.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of trauma-informed care pathways and protocols within the Community CAMHS.
- Participate in regular team meetings, contributing to the discussion of complex cases and sharing expertise to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people.
- Appropriate professional registered qualification (RMN, Social Worker, CBT Therapist, or equivalent) and membership of a registered statutory body (NMC, BABCP).
- Post-qualification training in trauma (trauma-focused CBT, EMDR, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Experience of working with children, young people, and their families/carers presenting with complex trauma and PTSD.
- Ability to manage own caseload and time, working under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop good therapeutic relationships with young people and their families/carers.
