Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Bramfield CE Primary School. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our Key Stage Two pupils.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic support to pupils, assisting teachers with lesson planning and preparation, and contributing to the overall well-being of our school community. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide academic support to pupils, including one-to-one and small group work
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery
  • Contribute to the development of English and mathematics interventions
  • Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Use behaviour management strategies to maintain a calm and purposeful learning environment
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to plan activities and prepare resources
Requirements
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Good standard of English and mathematics (GCSE level 4 or above)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and pupils
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
