About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Support Worker to join our team in Barnstaple and Bideford. As a key member of our youth work team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support services to young people in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead youth work sessions in a variety of settings, including our youth centres and local communities.
  • Support the development of colleagues and volunteers, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Co-design and support the delivery of social action projects in the community, working closely with partners and stakeholders.
  • Plan, evaluate, and evidence youth work activities, ensuring high standards of quality and impact.
  • Help young people develop skills and put their ideas into action, providing individual support and guidance as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience in youth work, with a strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by young people.
  • Leadership and confidence, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Passion for supporting and advocating for the rights of young people, with a commitment to promoting equality and diversity.
  • Creativity and solution-focused thinking, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Respectful and empathetic, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, set priorities, and seek help and support when needed.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development, with a willingness to learn and grow.
