Job Title: Mortgage Underwriter

We are seeking a skilled Mortgage Underwriter to join our team at Legal & General. As a Mortgage Underwriter, you will be responsible for assessing and processing applications for medium to high-risk cases, ensuring that they meet our strict audit and underwriting guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and process applications for medium to high-risk cases, ensuring that they meet our strict audit and underwriting guidelines.
  • Interact with customers to gather information required to process and assess applications.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service and monitor the standard exhibited by junior underwriters and underwriting administrators.
  • Analyse underwriting data to identify trends and produce necessary reports or findings.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Mortgage Underwriter.
  • Minimum of GCSE English and Mathematics or equivalent.
  • Understanding of Anti Money Laundering (AML), 'Treating Customers Fairly' (TCF), Data Protection requirements.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft.
