About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Highways Supervisor to join our team at COLAS ROAD UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling and execution of reactive maintenance works within our network, ensuring that all projects are completed within identified safety and time parameters.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise various work streams within the reactive and proactive programmes
- Ensure that all work is carried out to Company Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
- Communicate regularly with staff and operatives on safety matters
- Provide leadership and direction to several gangs across various work activities
- Ensure operatives' Job Packs are maintained and up to date
- Co-operate with the Group Safety Department in the compilation and update of Safe Working Procedures
- Ensure compliance with COSHH regulations, particularly as they relate to the Recycling Process
Requirements
- Relevant experience in management of highway maintenance
- Good working knowledge of health and safety policies
- Good IT skills and ability to keep good work records
- Valid clean driving licence
- Thorough working knowledge of site safety rules
