About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Clinical Lead to join our Thanet Children and Young People's Mental Health Service (CYPMHS). As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for leading the service's development and delivery, including research opportunities, and ensuring the service is delivering the most clinically effective interventions in line with current research and clinical guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on service development and delivery, including research opportunities
  • Develop partnership working with all key agencies
  • Ensure the service is delivering the most clinically effective interventions in line with current research and clinical guidelines
  • Routinely measure clinical outcomes and deliver evidence-based clinical interventions in line with the CY-IAPT programme
  • Promote the mental and emotional health of children, young people, and families in the community through clinical interventions in the care pathway
  • Assess and develop plans of care to meet the complex needs of patients with a variety of conditions
  • Provide clinical leadership and specialist treatment and assessment within your professional sphere of expertise in the service
About NELFT's Children & Young People's Mental Health Services (CYPMHS)

NELFT's CYPMHS is a comprehensive service that provides support to children and young people aged 0-18, living in Kent, and their families. Our service is free at the point of entry and is designed to meet the complex needs of patients with a variety of conditions.

Person Specification

We are looking for a Clinical Lead who has:

  • Successful completion of a post-graduate training in psychological practice (psychologist, family therapist, child and adolescent psychotherapist)
  • To be eligible for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body (HCPC, BACP, UKCP, AFT, ACP)
  • Extensive experience of working with moderate to profound learning disabilities, disturbed or challenging children/young people requiring skilled and complex interventions
  • Extensive experience of working therapeutically with parents/carers/families of children and young people with complex mental health problems
