We are seeking an experienced Bodyshop Manager to join our team at ABL 1 Touch, a market leading vehicle repair business since 1994. As a Bodyshop Manager, you will play a key role in the running of our Production Workshop, overseeing site and employee performance, safety, quality and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the productivity of the workshop and maintain high levels of quality, including quality control.
- Ensure all required documentation, including check sheets, are completed comprehensively.
- Communicate with the Production Director on constraints to productivity and maintenance.
- Maintain high levels of housekeeping and ensure statutory requirements are fulfilled by operators.
- Ensure insurance company requirements are maintained and non-productive time is kept to a minimum.
- Achieve productivity targets.
- Previous experience as a site or Bodyshop Manager in the automotive industry.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Body repair of motor vehicles environment.
- Strong people management experience, with the ability to lead a team to deliver results.
- Motor manufacturer qualifications and experience, and an understanding of modern repair processes and techniques.
- Pro-active approach to managing the customer journey, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well-organised, with the ability to multi-task and manage a varied workload.
- Good attention to detail and comfortable using MS Office.
- Strong planning and time management skills, with the ability to work to deadlines.
- Upbeat and friendly personality.
- Technical skills, knowledge and experience of body and paint repair in the retail motor industry.
