We are seeking a skilled Bodyshop Manager to join our team at ABL 1 Touch, a market-leading vehicle repair business with a strong commitment to customer service and employee satisfaction.

As a Bodyshop Manager, you will play a key role in the running of our Production Workshop, overseeing site and employee performance, safety, quality, and customer service. You will ensure that policy and process are followed, and consistency is maintained across all workshop operations, while maintaining a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities of a Bodyshop Manager include:

  • Productivity of the workshop
  • Maintaining quality, including quality control
  • Ensuring all required documentation is completed comprehensively
  • Communication with the Production Director on constraints to productivity and maintenance
  • High levels of housekeeping are maintained
  • Statutory requirements are fulfilled by operators (health and safety, COSHH, etc.)
  • Insurance company requirements are maintained
  • Non-productive time is kept to a minimum
  • Productivity targets are achieved

Requirements for the role include:

  • Previous experience as a site or Bodyshop in the automotive industry
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Body repair of motor vehicles environment
  • Strong people management experience, with the ability to lead a team to deliver results
  • Motor manufacturer qualifications and experience, and an understanding of modern repair processes and techniques
  • A proactive approach to managing the customer journey – customer-focused and eager to get it right first time
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well-organised with the ability to multi-task and manage a varied workload
  • Good attention to detail and comfortable using MS Office
  • Strong planning and time management skills, with the ability to work to deadlines
  • An upbeat and friendly personality
  • Technical skills, knowledge, and experience of body and paint repair in the retail motor industry
