Senior ESG/EHS Due Diligence Consultant

About the Opportunity

This role offers the chance to advance your career in environmental due diligence, playing a key part in Ramboll's transaction advisory practice's continued success. You'll work on technically challenging projects for high-caliber clients as part of a collaborative and experienced global due diligence consulting team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of environmental due diligence projects across various sectors, including data room document reviews, confirmatory site visits, and reporting.
  • Identify, assess, and communicate environmental risks and opportunities to enable informed decision-making by Ramboll's clients and their stakeholders.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of key UK and European environmental regulations and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in environmental policy and regulation.
  • Build relationships and collaborate with our international environmental due diligence team to enhance your opportunities to work on diverse projects and rapidly develop your international due diligence knowledge and experience.

Your Starting Point for Growth

  • Demonstrable experience in environmental due diligence consulting across various sectors and client types, including data room reviews, site visits, and reporting for purchaser- and vendor-driven projects.
  • Ability to quickly and accurately interpret and critically analyze environmental and other relevant information related to the diligence target company or asset, assess potential risks or opportunities, and propose pragmatic and realistic risk mitigation or opportunity maximization solutions.
  • Appropriate professional understanding of the UK and key European legal framework of environmental liabilities and compliance requirements, including the ability to put these risks into context and advise clients or stakeholders on liability management options and potential associated financial liabilities.
  • Ability to work successfully with UK and international colleagues and sub-consultants to ensure the timely and commercially successful delivery of environmental due diligence projects and deliverables.
