Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager for Transformation Programs to join our team and support the delivery of our community collaborative in North East London.

The role will involve assisting our programme director in achieving the community collaborative objectives, including leading specific improvement networks in community services across the NEL programme and providing coordination and support for these system-wide transformation initiatives.

This is an exciting opportunity as we embark on building the NEL community collaborative.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will coordinate and manage a designated transformation programme/improvement network across the Trust/Collaborative and with our partner organizations.

It is expected that the candidate will possess the experience, skills, and ability to develop, coordinate, manage, support, and successfully deliver multiple projects within a programme simultaneously.

The role will involve collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to implement service enhancements and redesigns utilizing a project management methodology focused on supporting service redesign and addressing existing operational and equality challenges.

The candidate will ensure that the programmes and projects have adequate resource planning, risk management, and benefits realization systems in place, along with robust stakeholder engagement plans incorporating co-production principles.

The role will also require the development and facilitation of workshops applying process mapping and lean methodology, along with other service improvement tools to achieve significant increases in quality, efficiency, and productivity. The candidate will ensure the capture of learning from the portfolio programmes by conducting After Action Reviews (AAR) and sharing outcomes and lessons learned.

Working for Our Organization

This position will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period unless currently partway through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff.

This role also attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,313 to a maximum of £5,436).

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and deliver Trust/Collaborative-wide transformation programmes to ensure plans are robust and detailed enough to assure service quality improvement and efficiency savings.
  • Collaborate closely with the Collaborative Programme teams to ensure all programmes and projects are coordinated and complementary, understanding any co-dependencies.
  • Develop and initiate new projects, including effective project documentation and management for any project within the programme.
  • Manage, monitor, report, and track the progress of programmes and projects, ensuring intended benefits are achieved.
  • Successfully manage expectations on programme deliverables, working alongside key stakeholders to understand potential constraints and risks.
  • Delegate programme and project work effectively, ensuring completion within agreed timescales.
  • Act as a source of project management and transformation expertise for stakeholders and all NELFT/Collaborative staff.
  • Ensure project management approaches remain flexible and responsive to changes at local and national levels.
  • Identify new opportunities for efficiencies and productivity, leading plans for project delivery.
  • Build constructive relationships with colleagues and staff at all levels, utilizing relationships and informal networks to achieve targets.
