Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager for Transformation Initiatives to assist in the delivery of our community collaborative in North East London.
The role will involve supporting our programme director in achieving the community collaborative objectives, including leading specific improvement networks in community services across the NEL programme, as well as coordinating and supporting these system-wide transformation initiatives.
This is an exciting new position as we embark on building the NEL community collaborative.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will coordinate and manage a designated transformation programme/improvement network across the Trust/Collaborative and with our partner organisations.
It is expected that the candidate will possess the experience, skills, and capability to develop, coordinate, manage, support, and successfully deliver multiple projects within a programme simultaneously.
The candidate will engage with key internal and external stakeholders to implement service enhancements and redesign, utilizing a project management methodology focused on supporting service transformation and addressing existing operational and equality challenges to benefit the organisation.
The role will ensure that the programmes and projects have adequate resource planning, risk management, and benefits realization systems in place, along with robust stakeholder engagement plans that incorporate co-production principles.
The position will involve the development and facilitation of workshops applying process mapping and lean methodology, along with other service improvement tools to achieve significant increases in quality, efficiency, and productivity. The role will also ensure the capture of learning from the portfolio programmes by conducting After Action Reviews (AAR) and sharing both the outcomes of the portfolio and programmes of work with the lessons learned.
Working for Our Organisation
This position will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless currently partway through a probationary period or a bank member of staff).
This position also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,313 to a maximum of £5,436).

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and deliver Trust/Collaborative-wide transformation programmes to ensure plans are robust and sufficiently detailed to provide assurance that delivery will result in service quality improvement/development and efficiency savings. Collaborate closely with the Collaborative Programme team/s to ensure all programmes and projects of work are coordinated, complementary, and aware of any co-dependencies. Develop and initiate new projects, including the support and development of effective project documentation and management for any project within the programme, including Project Initiation Documents (PIDs), Business Cases, Project Plans, Workbooks, risk and issue logs, and the formation of Project Steering Boards and teams. Manage, monitor, report, and track the progress of programmes and projects, ensuring that the intended benefits are achieved with outcomes maximized. Successfully manage expectations on programme deliverables, working alongside key stakeholders to understand and interpret potential constraints/risks to programme objectives. Raise risks and barriers to relevant parties in a timely manner, following NELFT/Collaborative assurance and governance processes. Where appropriate, delegate programme and project work effectively and ensure that this is completed as required within the agreed timescales. Act as a source of project management and transformation expertise for stakeholders and all NELFT/Collaborative staff. Ensure that the project management approaches remain flexible, dynamic, and responsive to change at local and national levels. Identify new opportunities for efficiencies and productivity, leading plans for the delivery of these projects.
