Occupational Therapist / Physiotherapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join our Urgent Community Response (UCR) team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with diverse or complex presentations or multi-pathologies.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans to prevent acute hospital admissions and support complex hospital discharges.
  • Communicate complex and sensitive information to patients, carers, and other staff, including imparting unwelcome news relating to their rehabilitation potential and gaining consent for treatment.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication with the Physiotherapy Team Lead and other multidisciplinary Team Leads on all professional matters.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in line with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy standards and CSH Surrey standards and policies.
  • Assess patients' understanding of proposed intervention, gain valid consent, and work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent to assessment and/or intervention.
  • Participate in the supervision of students and provide training and take a role in supervision and teaching of qualified and unqualified clinical staff.
  • Maintain professional competence by participating in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities and maintaining a portfolio of evidence.
Requirements
  • Degree or Equivalent in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of client groups including community, rehabilitation, hospital, neurology, elderly, oncology, and orthopaedics.
