Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Call Handler for the NHS 111 Wales service. As a Call Handler, you will be responsible for answering calls from the public and providing high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Answering calls from the public and responding to their queries in a calm and assertive manner
  • Providing accurate and timely information to patients, while also making considered decisions and responding quickly and confidently
  • Working as part of a team to deliver excellent patient care and meet the Trust's standards
  • Entering patient information accurately and efficiently onto a computer system
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and assertive in challenging situations
  • Strong computer and keyboard skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Desirable: ability to speak Welsh
