Job Overview

Emotiv Technical Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our powertrain development team, you will be responsible for delivering air, fuel, and exhaust development and validation testing in accordance with component and vehicle development plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Development Planning: Collaborate with the design team to define component and system targets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Test Procedure Creation: Develop and maintain comprehensive test procedures to validate product attribute targets.
  • Development and Validation: Plan and execute mechanical development and performance development testing, ensuring robust proof of product attribute targets.
  • Supplier Management: Responsible for supplier validation and integrity of supplier development and validation plans.
  • Problem Solving: Lead problem-solving investigations that occur during development programs, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on project timelines.
  • Integration and Optimization: Work closely with build teams to ensure optimized instrumentation layout and requirements, and collaborate with virtual validation teams to guide analysis and correlation to test results.
  • Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze and interpret physical test results to correlate simulation and validate design function, and optimize current test procedures and data analysis tools.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Develop close working relationships with external partners, and work closely with calibration teams to ensure correct and reliable performance.
  • Team Collaboration: Support the Powertrain Systems S.E.T. team as an active member, contributing to the development of viable design solutions.
Requirements
  • Experience: Extensive experience in hands-on powertrain testing and development roles, with a strong background in failure investigations and problem-solving.
  • Education: Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification, with industry-related courses in HV electrification safety awareness.
  • Skills: Industry standard dyno and vehicle validation procedures, astute project control, including resource planning, timing, milestones, and meeting disciplines.
  • Language: Italian language skills are an asset.
