About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our mechanical design and development team in the creation of cutting-edge robotic vehicles and autonomous systems for the defence sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the mechanical design and development of new vehicle concepts from requirements capture through to delivery of prototype vehicles.
  • Technically responsible for mechanical systems at vehicle systems, sub-system, and component level.
  • Support the enhancement, evolution, and industrialisation of vehicles.
  • Provide technical leadership to the mechanical engineering team.
  • Actively contribute and/or lead on the development of engineering processes and procedures within the UK business as it continues to grow.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in a mechanical engineering or similar engineering discipline.
  • Experience of vehicle engineering design / automotive engineering design is required.
  • Specific experience of any of the following areas would be advantageous: vehicle architectures, mechanical systems, chassis design, vehicle payloads, systems integration.
  • Experience of off-road or specialist vehicle applications would be advantageous.
  • Eligible for UK security clearance (British or European nation passport holder).
