This role involves collaboration with DCC's customer engagement team, the Retail Energy Code Company (REC), and the Smart Energy Code (SEC) to foster 'effective' demand, overseeing the pipeline with Service Providers, with a particular focus on robust medium to long-term planning.

The ideal candidate should possess some background in IT demand analysis, exhibit strong analytical capabilities, and demonstrate effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. A proven history of the following is essential:

  • Comprehending the strategic objectives and aspirations of the ILC business sector and assisting the Demand Lead in developing the corresponding delivery backlog to align with business objectives, thereby effectively and proactively driving 'good demand' from the Smart Energy Code (SEC) and Retail Energy Code (REC).
  • Assisting in capacity and resource planning to ensure optimal resource utilization, mitigate delivery risks, and ensure changes are implemented in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Investigating and applying best practices to proactively offer constructive recommendations and solutions for business needs in accordance with the regulatory requirements set forth in the Smart Energy Code (SEC).
  • Maintaining a log of business requests, directing requests to the appropriate channels, and providing updates on the status of each request.
Experience in planning and forecasting is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with ITIL principles.
  • Insight into the project lifecycle and experience in managing complex IT initiatives.
  • Capability to identify risks, along with the initiative and motivation to continuously enhance skills, automate repetitive tasks, and optimize data operations processes for improved efficiency and productivity.
Possession of Agile or Scrum Master certification is preferred.

  • ITIL Foundation certification.
