Job Title: Head of Finance and Operations

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance and Operations to join our client, a market-leading cosmetic brand. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the global finance strategy and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Global Finance Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive finance strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Provide Financial Insights: Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making, working closely with the CEO, Founder, and Investors.
  • Manage Financial Operations: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, year-end management, and audit, ensuring compliance with UK and US accounting standards.
  • Group Consolidation: Consolidate UK and US accounts, as well as inter-company accounts, to provide a comprehensive view of the company's financial performance.
  • Support Investment Opportunities: Provide financial expertise to support investment opportunities and ensure alignment with the company's overall strategy.
  • Day-to-Day Accounting Operations: Oversee AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with functional heads to provide financial insights and support business growth initiatives.
  • Commercial Strategy Modeling: Develop and implement commercial strategy models to support pricing and revenue growth initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
  • Start-up Experience: Proven experience working in a start-up environment, ideally in the retail sector.
  • System Improvement: Proven track record of improving and implementing systems to drive business efficiency.
  • Business Partnering Skills: Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to present to Investors and the CEO.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ambition and Drive: Ambitious, driven, and professional, with a passion for delivering results.
