About the Role
University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Staff Nurse to join our team in the Discharge Lounge. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth transition of patients from hospital to home, while also supporting timely flow and bed availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care and support to patients transferring from hospital to home
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient patient flow and bed availability
- Develop and implement innovative approaches to meet the needs of patients and the service
- Contribute to the development of policies and protocols to improve patient care and service delivery
Requirements
- NMC registered Nurse with a minimum of 12 months' experience at pay band 5 within the relevant speciality
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently and on own initiative
- Computer literacy with a wide range of software, databases, and spreadsheets
- Experience of administration of medicines
