About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Public Health Staff Nurse to join our team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Public Health Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, working in partnership with children, young people, and families to provide services in response to identified needs.
  • Work closely with other members of the CYP Public Health Service to provide services in response to identified needs, including safeguarding and supporting children and young people with enuresis.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with local authorities, early intervention services, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with current registration with the NMC.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Evidence of recent professional development.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding children.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload effectively.
  • Recent previous experience within a comparable role.
  • Experience of providing clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff.
  • Experience of using electronic patient records.
  • Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English to a good standard.
