About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Making Space. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality support to adults with mental health conditions, ensuring that their needs are met and their lives are improved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and delegate tasks to a dedicated team of support workers, ensuring that values-based support is delivered to the highest standards.
  • Support adults with various mental health conditions on a person-centered basis, from following care plans to administering medication and assisting with daily living.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and their voices are heard.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring that they are tailored to the individual needs of each service user.
  • Collaborate with other members of the care team to ensure that support is delivered in a coordinated and effective manner.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Support Worker, with a strong understanding of the principles of person-centered care.
  • A Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality support.
  • Good administrative skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
