At RES Exhibits, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in maintaining clear communication with our leadership team, internal stakeholders, and external customers while supporting the VP of Finance and Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly reconciliation of AP ledger accounts, inventory, show services, prepaid insurance, and tax.
- Fixed asset review and analysis to ensure accurate tax reporting, proper management, and efficient utilization.
- Responsible for the reconciliation related to banking and loans, company credit card statements related to travel expenses, and inter-company accounts.
- Serve as the back-up for the A/P and A/R specialist in producing invoices, validating purchase orders, and packing slips.
- Analyze vendor invoices and credit card receipts to determine sales tax compliance.
- Manage timely and accurate payroll, accrual, and journal entries.
- Support the Finance team in tracking and reconciling corporate asset purchases.
- Manage and review monthly and annual sales/use tax filings and payments.
- Support Finance in ensuring that general ledger and all related accounts have proper documentation and records for all company transactions.
- Prepare entries for the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers to assure accuracy and compliance with internal and established accounting principles.
- Review and audit completed company expense reports. Once Finance Approval Status completes the expense reports, audit for compliance with company policies and follow up with any necessary corrective actions.
- Partner with the Finance Director to maintain integrity of vouchers payable report/prepaid show services and the timely review and closing out of all job cost blue books.
- Maintain supporting vendor documentation for sales tax filings and complete filings on a timely basis. Assist the Finance Director in completing all Sales Tax filings.
- Complete all required close and forecasting duties, ensuring conformance with US GAAP or JVL tax treatment.
- Support the VP/Finance Director budget or forecast requests, ensuring accurate inputs, tracking, and trending, and involvement in the process as assigned.
- Analyze the Accounts Receivable and WIP/revenue recognition work to ensure accuracy for internal and external reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other relevant discipline preferred.
- 5+ years of corporate tax accounting experience in a manufacturing environment or entrepreneurial company, preferred.
- 5 years experience preparing reports, maintaining general ledgers and accounts payable files, and keeping up with the company's tax obligations.
