**Commercial Advisor - Grain LNG, Isle of Grain, Kent**

National Grid’s Grain LNG, is of strategic national importance to UK energy infrastructure and security of supply. We're Europe’s largest Liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal, and are committed to protecting the environment for future generations and supporting their energy needs.

As a Commercial Advisor, you’ll significantly contribute to the efficient operations of the Grain Liquified Natural Gas terminal from a commercial perspective, with a view to maximising revenue, reducing costs whilst maintaining a high level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an applicant with relevant experience, such as contract operations, contract management or regulatory specialists or analysts, but not necessarily those with an energy industry background to start a new career at an exciting time in the energy sector at an expanding LNG Terminal on its path to a net zero future.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Deliver excellent services to customers in line with contractual requirements to ensure Grain meets its obligations.
- Take ownership of individual customer or supplier contracts allocated to you to ensure all parties meet their obligations.
- Support the commercial team to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
- Support contractual amendments and consultations with customers including the implementation of new contracts.

**About you**:

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to understand complex contractual arrangements and contract risks.
- Able to build relationships with customers/stakeholders to influence and negotiate positive outcomes whilst protecting business interests.
- Highly conscientious; have the desire to take ownership of problems, make decisions within your remit or work proactively with others to find solutions.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

**What you'll get**:

- A competitive salary of £39,000 to £45,000 - dependent on capability.
