Position Overview

This role presents an excellent opportunity to become a vital member of our Production team, focusing on the assembly and construction of high-tech, state-of-the-art products. You will enhance your skills while tackling some of our most intricate system configurations. A robust engineering background coupled with advanced technical expertise is essential for success in this position.

You will be required to work on a rotating shift schedule, which consists of four 8-hour shifts and one 5-hour shift each week. The current shifts are Early (starting at 06:00) and Afternoon (starting at 14:00).

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Efficiently assemble systems, sub-assemblies, and components for complex systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards and ISO regulations, while meeting production timelines.
  • Verify that the Bill of Materials (BOM) and customer specifications are accurately fulfilled.
  • Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues.
  • Document technical challenges and maintain records using the FRACAS process.
  • Enhance your technical skills through ongoing training.
  • Serve as a reference point to ensure all technicians in the assembly area are informed about the build sequence.
  • Mentor and support less experienced technicians.
  • Exemplify the highest standards of cleanliness, housekeeping, and Health and Safety practices within the assembly areas, while promoting 5S initiatives.
  • Contribute to the overall performance of the Production Team through continuous improvement efforts.
  • Adhere to the rotating shift schedule as communicated by your Team Leader.

Candidate Profile:

Essential qualifications include:

  • Completion of an Electrical apprenticeship or City and Guilds part 3, or

HND, HNC, or BTech level 3

  • Precision wiring skills, including:
  • Lead-free soldering
  • Panel wiring according to schematics
  • Ability to interpret electrical diagrams
  • Capability to diagnose faults and implement corrective measures
  • Preferably a blend of mechanical, electrical, and electronic assembly skills
  • Ideally, experience in the semiconductor sector
  • Proficient computer skills
  • A highly dedicated team player
  • Commitment to high-quality assembly standards; adaptable, cooperative, punctual, and self-disciplined
  • Effective communication abilities.
