About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician/Science Manufacturing Technician to join our team at the University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) Pharmacy Production unit.
The successful candidate will have experience in the preparation of aseptically prepared products and working in a busy hospital pharmacy environment. They will also have a good knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
Main Responsibilities
- To work with other Pharmacy Technicians/Science Manufacturing Technicians and Technical Officers within Pharmacy Production to ensure the smooth operation of the unit.
- To maintain and improve aseptic technique and ensure that all products are prepared to the highest standard.
- To communicate effectively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals regarding products manufactured in the unit.
- To assist in the organisation and planning of training and development of staff.
- To perform checks of raw materials for products, following appropriate training and assessment, and ensure that appropriate documentation is completed.
- To perform final checks on licensed aseptic and non-sterile batches, following appropriate training.
Requirements
- Experience in preparation of aseptically prepared products.
- Experience of working in a busy hospital pharmacy environment.
- Good knowledge and understanding of GMP.
- Excellent aseptic technique.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately and neatly.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good coaching skills.
