GENERAL OVERVIEW:


Under direct supervision, the IT Analyst is responsible for assisting in the formulation and definition of system scopes and objectives through comprehensive research and fact-finding, combined with a foundational understanding of business systems and industry standards.

This role may involve collaboration with subject matter experts to create relevant content, processes, procedures, and basic programming or reporting associated with ERP/EMR or other software systems.

The IT Analyst may also be tasked with writing technical documentation for various electronic publications, preparing operation and maintenance manuals, and coordinating the layout and organization of technical publications.

Additionally, this position entails researching available software and hardware assets utilized throughout the organization and aiding in the implementation of policies and procedures for effective control.

Responding to user inquiries by investigating and analyzing non-complex issues related to the organization's various systems is also a key responsibility. The analyst diagnoses problem sources through discussions with users and follows up to ensure resolution.

This entry-level position is designed to provide individuals with relevant education but limited work experience, exposure to a variety of responsibilities within the information technology department, paving the way for further career specialization.

Individuals in this role must exhibit strong analytical thinking capabilities, possess excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, and be oriented towards teamwork. The IT Analyst must demonstrate clear and logical thinking in challenging situations and maintain a focus on quality and detail.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts to gather information from requestors and departments, documenting workflows, requirements, and business continuity needs.
  • Assists in creating detailed specifications, wireframes, user stories, epics, and final product documentation.
  • May engage in programming and unit testing of prototypes and enhancements developed to fulfill user requirements.
  • Conducts training activities and obtains software-specific certifications as necessary for the role.
  • May develop metrics and reporting as assigned.
  • Works with technology partners and colleagues to maintain an appropriate knowledge base for software and hardware assets and related business systems.
  • Participates in the formulation and implementation of related policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
0 - 3 years of experience in analysis, design, technical writing, and end-user support.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
Pursuing advanced certification in ITIL, ITAM, CSAM, PMP, BA, or other relevant certifications.
Demonstrates well-developed and effective oral and written communication skills.
Possesses general knowledge of emerging technologies.
