SECURITY OPERATIONS CENTER ANALYST – PERMANENT – HYBRID – £55,000-65,000

Bestman Solutions is collaborating with a leading global data science organization to expand their security division.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a dedicated SOC Analyst to join a skilled team of security experts, while also benefiting from extensive training and a comprehensive benefits package.

As a SOC Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include monitoring security threats, managing incident responses, and overseeing daily security operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and Detection of Security Incidents
  • Incident Management and Response
  • Development of Detection Mechanisms
  • Analysis of Malware (Both Static and Dynamic)
  • Proactive Threat Hunting and Intelligence Gathering (Utilizing MITRE ATT&CK Framework)
  • Ensuring Cloud Security
  • Conducting Penetration Tests
  • Implementing Security Automation Solutions (SOAR)

Required Qualifications:

Applicants should possess knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Tools
  • Vulnerability Assessment and Management
  • Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) Software
  • Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems
  • Web Proxy Technologies
  • Network Security and Firewall Management
  • Programming Skills – Preferred but not mandatory

Additional Information:

  • This is a permanent position
  • Work arrangement includes 3 days in the office and 2 days remote
