Job Overview

We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Project Controls Manager to become a vital part of our expanding team.

The selected candidate will integrate into our Scotland Project Controls division, collaborating with a diverse clientele to implement superior practices in Controls, Planning, Analytics, Reporting, Risk Management, Change Management, Resource Allocation, and Performance Oversight across various industries.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee Project Controls for significant infrastructure construction initiatives.
  • Lead the program controls function, ensuring the precision and uniformity of plans, costs, safety measures, environmental considerations, and performance reporting while effectively utilizing available resources.

Additional Duties Include:

  • Evaluating new project proposals to ensure the development of feasible and resourceful plans for program delivery.
  • Identifying resource needs to support the program and coordinating with planning teams to address any resourcing challenges.
  • Providing daily support to Program and Project Managers by reporting on plans, costs, safety, environmental impact, and overall program performance.
  • Ensuring that data entered by project teams into cost and performance systems adheres to established data standards.
  • Managing the creation of the Investment Plan in accordance with the Investment Competence Framework.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in executing, monitoring, and assessing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis.
  • Background in the construction infrastructure sector, particularly on projects related to defense, rail, aviation, highways, nuclear, power, energy, and water.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in PC operating systems and several basic software applications.
  • Familiarity with discipline-specific software applications such as Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office, with an intermediate understanding of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction management principles.
