Job Title: Systems Support Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Support Analyst to join our team at Interface Recruitment UK. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintaining the group's systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver High-Quality Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to ensure the smooth operation of our systems and infrastructure.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as a technical expert to the Head of Information Systems and the wider business, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Training and Development: Assist in the training of department members, end users, and new employees to ensure they have the necessary skills to use our systems effectively.
  • Documentation and Maintenance: Develop and update documents related to system or software procedures, requirements, and changes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • System Administration: Perform maintenance and backup functions for key systems, resolving issues of diverse scope by reviewing and analyzing identifiable factors.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with the IS department and key end users by conducting requirement and needs analysis to ensure that our systems meet the needs of the business.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct testing of systems when required to ensure efficiency and accuracy, using the appropriate software tools.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain system security and data confidentiality, integrity, and availability across the network, ensuring that our systems are secure and compliant with industry standards.
  • Infrastructure Development: Design, develop, modify, and maintain infrastructure solutions to ensure that our systems are scalable and available at all times.
  • Policies and Procedures: Administer, maintain, develop, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of critical systems and issues related to applications support and availability.
  • Information Sharing: Work with other department members to facilitate the sharing of information between various departments and systems, ensuring that our systems are integrated and effective.
  • Enterprise Solutions: Work with other systems analysts in the design, development, and modification of enterprise solutions to meet the needs of the business.
  • Business Analysis: Analyze and assess business needs and deliver solutions to address those needs while optimizing performance and scalability.
  • Problem Resolution: Provide accurate and timely resolutions to challenging technical problems, representing the team in a positive and professional manner.
  • Customer Support: Provide support by telephone and user visits where appropriate to ensure quick resolution of software and hardware problems, in line with department SLA's.
  • Infrastructure Support: Install, configure, support, troubleshoot, and document all areas of the infrastructure, ensuring that our systems are stable and secure.
  • Hardware and Software Support: Troubleshoot hardware and software problems for all supported platforms within the business, ensuring that our systems are running smoothly.
  • Hardware and Software Installation: Test, install, and configure new hardware and software solutions, ensuring that they meet the needs of the business.
  • Call Logging: Log all calls into the service desk application to ensure that statistics and analysis of all calls can be made.
  • Advisory Role: Assess and advise the Head of Information Systems on the potential benefit to the organization of specific system hardware or software developments or products.
  • Communication: Ensure that users are kept informed of the status of any outstanding calls, providing regular updates and feedback.
  • Project Management: Carry out project management, through its entirety, of new and existing system implementations and upgrades, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Ad-Hoc Tasks: Carry out 'ad-hoc' tasks when requested to assist with the security and smooth running of IT systems and to ensure a high level of support for users.
  • Standards and Procedures: Contribute to and perform according to the required business and departmental standards, ensuring that our systems are secure and compliant.
  • System Checks: Perform system checks in line with procedures set, ensuring that our systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Inventory and Equipment: Maintain department inventory and equipment specification files, ensuring that our systems are properly maintained and updated.
  • Error Logging: Maintain error logging of system faults and liaise with users and suppliers to resolve faults, ensuring that our systems are stable and secure.
  • Reports and Analysis: Assist with the production of departmental reports on a regular basis, providing analysis and insights to inform business decisions.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise with suppliers and contractors for the supply of equipment and services, ensuring that the control of cost base is taken into consideration.
  • Weekly Reviews: Provide weekly reviews of work completed, work in progress, and planned work to the Head of Information Systems and members of the department, ensuring that our systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Training and Development: Undertake training as deemed appropriate within the department and through liaison with the Head of Information Systems, ensuring that our team has the necessary skills to use our systems effectively.
  • Additional Tasks: Any other tasks as requested by the Head of Information Systems, ensuring that our systems are secure and compliant.
