Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Water Treatment Technician (Day Work) to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position based in a dynamic environment. The starting salary for this role is £25,755 per annum, with an additional flexibility payment of £833 per annum. As you grow in this role, you will have the opportunity to progress through our Water Treatment Technician levels 1 to 5 progression scheme, potentially earning up to £33,102 per annum, along with overtime opportunities and various company benefits.

Progression Opportunities:
As part of your employment, you will participate in a tailored progression scheme designed to equip you with the qualifications, skills, and experiences necessary for the nationally recognized Competent Technician Scheme. The company will fully fund the training costs, which amount to £7,280, for obtaining several industry-recognized professional qualifications, including a Level 3 Water Treatment Operations Diploma.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain potable water quality and quantity in accordance with company standards, considering abstraction licenses and distribution system requirements.
  • Ensure safe, effective, and economical storage, handling, and usage of all chemicals, adhering to company procedures.
  • Conduct operational maintenance on equipment and instrumentation as per work schedules and instructions.
  • Collect water quality samples and perform on-site analyses as required.
  • Complete water quality and operational records/log sheets accurately.
  • Execute routine and non-routine tasks in line with operational site requirements.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices, ensuring a clean and tidy work environment.
  • Address abnormal events according to company procedures and report them to the appropriate management personnel.
Candidate Profile:
Essential:
  • Proficient in Maths, English, and IT.
  • Understanding of COSHH principles, Lone Working procedures, and Basic First Aid.
  • Able to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Capable of making sound judgments and decisions in complex and high-pressure situations.
  • Possession of a Full UK Driver's License.
Desirable:
  • NVQ Level 2 in Operating Process Plant or HNC in Water Operations, or actively working towards these qualifications.
  • Background in mechanical, electrical, ICA, or scientific fields.
  • Experience in Water Treatment or relevant processes.
