Role Overview:
We are excited to announce an opening for a Water Treatment Technician (Day Work) to join our dedicated team. This position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis, with a competitive starting salary of £25,755 per annum plus a flexibility payment of £833 per annum. As part of your career development, you will have access to a progression scheme that can elevate your earnings up to £33,102 per annum, alongside opportunities for overtime and additional company benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the quality and quantity of potable water in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Safely handle and store chemicals in accordance with established procedures.
- Conduct operational maintenance on equipment as per scheduled guidelines.
- Collect and analyze water quality samples as needed.
- Document water quality and operational procedures accurately.
- Perform routine and non-routine tasks as required by operational demands.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Respond to abnormal events following company protocols and report to the appropriate management.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proficient in Mathematics, English, and IT.
- Understanding of COSHH principles, Lone Working procedures, and Basic First Aid.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across all levels.
- Ability to make sound decisions in complex and high-pressure situations.
- Valid UK Driver's License.
- NVQ Level 2 in Operating Process Plant or HNC in Water Operations, or progress towards these qualifications.
- Background in mechanical, electrical, ICA, or scientific fields.
- Experience in Water Treatment or related processes.
