About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Water Treatment Technician to join our team based in Newton Abbot. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality drinking water and wastewater services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure potable water quality and quantity is maintained within company standards, adhering to abstraction licences and distribution system requirements.
  • Store, handle, and use chemicals safely, effectively, and economically, in line with company procedures.
  • Perform operational maintenance on equipment and instrumentation, following works' schedules and instructions.
  • Take water quality samples and conduct on-site analysis as required, in accordance with works' instructions.
  • Complete water quality and operational procedures, records/log sheets.
  • Carry out routine and non-routine tasks, adhering to operational requirements of sites.
  • Ensure good housekeeping, maintaining works in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Address abnormal events, following company procedures, and report to the Resources and Production Site Manager or Duty Functional Manager out of hours.
Requirements
  • A good level of Maths, English, and IT.
  • Understanding of COSHH, Lone Working procedures, and Basic First Aid.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with people at all levels of the business.
  • Capacity to make sound judgements and decisions in complex situations.
  • A Full UK Driver's Licence.
