Position Overview
This role is for a Specialist in Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will share clinical duties within the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care.
In addition to responsibilities in critical care, the appointee will be expected to administer anesthesia for adult patients across various specialties, in line with their training and experience, which may encompass peri-operative evaluations.
A regular on-call duty for critical care is part of the role.
All staff members, including the appointee, are expected to engage in the implementation of the organization's Clinical Governance framework. This includes active involvement in clinical audits, quality assurance, clinical guidelines/pathways, professional development, performance reviews, and risk management.
The appointee will participate in the Consultant Staff Committee and is expected to contribute to its activities.

Qualifications
Essential
- Full GMC Registration
- FRCA or equivalent qualification
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for both anesthesia and intensive care medicine or within six months of AAC
- Membership in the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine (FFICM) by examination and/or European Diploma of Intensive Care Medicine (EDIC)
- Current ALS certification
