About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology to join our team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading our Maternal Medicine Centre, and contributing to the development of our obstetric services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tertiary care within the Maternal Medicine Centre for patients with pre-existing health conditions
  • Lead the Norwich Regional Maternal Medicine Centre and work alongside our existing team to deliver high-quality antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care
  • Develop and implement service improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experience
  • Contribute to the development of our obstetric services, including the design and implementation of new care pathways and protocols
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Full GMC Registration
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT, CESR, or European Community Rights
  • ATSM Advanced Labour Ward Practice
  • ATSM Maternal Medicine
  • ASM in Safe Practice in Abortion Care

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

  • An appropriate higher qualification, such as an MD or MSc
  • Experience in Quality Improvement methodology
  • APM Clinical Research
Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Enthusiasm for service development and teaching
  • Flexible outlook on working hours
  • Ability to live within a 15-mile radius of the base Trust or 30 minutes' travelling time
  • Full Driving License
