Wildlife Care Specialist

The Association of British and Irish Wild Animal Keepers is looking for a dedicated Wildlife Care Specialist to enhance our animal husbandry team. This role involves overseeing the daily care and management of various species within our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily care and maintenance for a diverse range of wildlife.
  • Maintain high standards of animal welfare and health.
  • Engage with visitors to educate them about animal care and conservation efforts.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a zoological environment.
  • Relevant qualifications such as DMZAA or equivalent.
  • Strong observational skills and a commitment to animal welfare.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Species360 database.
