About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head Housekeeper to join our team at De Vere Tortworth Court, a stunning 201-bedroom hotel in South Gloucestershire.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Executive Head Housekeeper to set, monitor and maintain the highest level of housekeeping and guest service standards.
- Deputise for the Head Housekeeper as required in all aspects of supervising the team and regulating housekeeping costs.
- Lead by example, fostering a culture of warmth where colleagues feel appreciated and valued.
- Build genuine relationships with your team, creating a sense of belonging and empowering them to take pride in their work.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotels, ideally in a similar role and in a similar sized property.
- Ability to deliver a consistent level of service under pressure, with a keen eye for detail.
- IT literacy and previous experience with Opera and Fourth Hospitality would be an advantage.
- Awareness of relevant legislation, including health and safety at work, COSSHH, environmental health and fire precautions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues to deliver a consistent level of service.
- Well-organised with good time management skills, prioritising tasks and managing work schedules and rotas to meet operational demands.
