Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head Housekeeper to join our team at De Vere Tortworth Court. As a key member of our Housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of housekeeping and guest service standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Executive Head Housekeeper to set, monitor and maintain housekeeping and guest service standards.
  • Deputise for the Head Housekeeper as required, supervising the team and regulating housekeeping costs.
  • Lead by example, fostering a culture of warmth and creating a sense of belonging among colleagues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximise room division profitability.
  • Ensure all legislation relevant to the role is adhered to, including health and safety, COSSHH, environmental health and fire precautions.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in hotels, ideally in a similar role and in a similar sized property.
  • Ability to deliver a consistent level of service under pressure, with a keen eye for detail.
  • IT literacy and experience with Opera and Fourth Hospitality systems would be an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues.
  • Well-organised with good time management skills, prioritising tasks and managing work schedules and rotas.
