The Role: Test Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Test Development Engineer to join our Production Engineering Team. This unique opportunity will allow you to contribute to leading-edge projects within the aerospace sector, gaining valuable experience with advanced technologies.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement comprehensive test strategies for products, ensuring they meet performance specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D teams to ensure new product designs are optimized for testing.
  • Design and oversee the assembly of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) fixtures.
  • Develop ATE test programs and commission them alongside the fixtures.
  • Create standalone test methods, designing and implementing the necessary hardware and software solutions.
  • Document all test procedures to company standards for factory use.
  • Provide training and support to factory test supervisors.
  • Manage changes to product testing in a live environment.

Your Qualifications:

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience and qualifications, with a minimum of 3 years in a test development environment.
  • Proven experience in radio frequency test and measurement.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronics schematic drawings and component data sheets.
  • Understanding of EMC issues and solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications, with experience in the Office 365 suite being advantageous.
  • A helpful and proactive attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • PCB design experience, including schematic capture, layout, and output to manufacture.
  • LEAN manufacturing experience is desirable.
